Tom and Emily Ford dazzled the world at Paris 2024, delivering a spectacular sibling triumph that will forever shine in British rowing history.
On the morning of Saturday 3rd August 2024, at the iconic Vaires‑sur‑Marne Nautical Stadium, Emily Ford powered Team GB’s women’s eight to a fiercely earned bronze medal. Just 20 minutes later, her brother Tom Ford soared to Olympic glory, storming to gold with the men’s eight in a commanding, unforgettable performance. It was a moment that united the nation — and left our school community bursting with pride.
Both proud alumni of our school, Emily and Tom have described their medals as a heartfelt “thank you” to the family, friends, coaches, and teachers who supported their journey from the very beginning. Their achievements radiate resilience, passion, and the spirit of teamwork — a shining reminder of what dedication can become when talent meets opportunity.
Their story is not just inspirational… it’s extraordinary and it will continue to inspire generations of Grange students to dream boldly and chase their own moments of greatness.
